Having now owned the Sports Tool Watch from the Millar brand for a little over a month, I feel I am well placed to give a full review on this timepiece.

The first thing you notice on receiving your Millar watch is the attention to detail.

The case is a mixture of high polished and brushed finishes which seamlessly blend from one to another with smooth clean lines. The crown is finished with a coin edge design and is protected by integrated crown guards. The case is 39mm in diameter (42mm with crown) however due to highly tapering lugs, the watch has a short lug to lug of only 46mm and this means it would be suitably comfortable for people with wrist sizes down to 15cm. The case back is a nicely engraved with Millar Watches logo and of the screw down variety, ensuring excellent water resistance.

The dial is finished in a deep black guilloche pattern with applied indices at five-minute increments. There is a bordered date window at the 3 o’clock position and numerals at the twelve o’clock position alongside the MW logo in a contrasting white font. The hands are a cross between a baton and sword hand design and are nicely contrasted with a red second hand.

The bezel itself is of a scallop edge design with brushed silver insert, with black markings in 10-minute intervals. One minor criticism here is that as much as there is no back play with the bezel, the action is not the smoothest I have used at this price point. This may perhaps loosen with more use.

The strap provided is made of black rubber with a tyre tread pattern complimented with a stainless-steel buckle and tang. It is comfortable to wear with plenty of adjustment and two keepers to ensure you get a comfortable fit.

The quartz movement is as expected, precise and accurate, one other area to note is that it is silent and does not make the annoying ‘tick’ that certain other swiss brands can be plagued by.

Overall if you are looking for a dive inspired, everyday watch that would not look out of place under a shirt cuff in the office or worn with jeans and a T-Shirt, then this is the watch for you. A do anything, accurate swiss timepiece at an affordable price.
